Meet the crew…

Hi Everyone, I’m back in China after a bit of a whirlwind trip to America. Picked up a bunch of equipment in the States and have returned here to Kunming with it. We begin filming this Saturday! Woohoo! Yesterday, the “crew” came to my house and I did a little introduction to the equipment and training.

They are two university students from the Art Institute here in Kunming and They will be swapping off between camera and audio duties. I’m really excited about working with them!

Waterproof cameras in HD

Took Abby and my parents to a water fountain in a shopping area where a bunch of kids play. Brought one of the cameras purchased for the documentary to test out. It’s a little Kodak $100 waterproof HD video camera, pretty amazing, will post some video tomorrow. On a side note, it’s way too hot in Texas in July.

Daily updates start today…

Hi all, just wanted to let you know that I am in Dallas visiting my parents and picking up the equipment to be used for the documentary this summer. I will start giving daily blog updates from today until the end of this project. Upcoming things will include the budget as well as a way for you to directly get involved in the life of a child in need. Please stay tuned, seeya tomorrow!
